Yup - looks faster in orange already It's a bit disappointing I spose - looks a bit understated tho compared to something like the Tuono V4....
The pre-production one looked better but still this is a possibility for when the back & knees give up the ghost!
Have to agree the pre-production one looked far better, was on my poss list but have to say a little disappointed with this
the prototype would have sold by the bucket load .. but the production one looks nothing like as aggressive.. i think they have missed a great opportunity there. big disappointment
Think about it with tail tidy fitted, pillion seat cover and a few other bits of minor bling and reckon it will look the business and sell really well - its like a pumped up CB1000r that's been down the gym and got some attitude I'd consider it - the 990 is meant to be fantastic bike
To be honest I can't see much difference apart from paint on the wheels, but I'm sure you will all let me know what I have missed
Agree but! Having looked at both. It's just remove the large number plate hanger. Change to belly exhaust and paint the wheels white and orange. Thn it's almost identical. Other than the wheels I old have through the other 2 changes are due to euro regs
The prototype was reputed to be around 130db, hence the car silencer on the side of the production bike! Shame, the underseat/belly exhausts looked much nicer. If it has the 180+bhp and 25% more torque than a fireblade that they say it has then I'd show an interest. I have heard that they expect it to be around £14k though which is a bit steep. There's the BMW naked S1000 out early next year too.
The production exhaust spoils it - makes it look cheap (which it isn't!). Far cleaner lines on the pre-prod pics. The carbon belly pan on the pre-prod also makes it look a lot neater.
To be honest I don't think I have ever kept a stock exhaust on a bike so that's no issue and I'm sure there will be plenty of carbon available
