Well done for posting this up. Be good to catch up with everyone. I will be on the extremely subtle and quiet Tech3 motogp replica R1. I am meeting 2 others at Lymm services 8:30 where m56 and m6 meet if that is better for anyone to join there
I'll tag along one day if that's ok but I can't make tomorrow. This weekends pass out was used this morning !
Here's a few pics from yesterday. The SP waiting patiently in the sun for the fun. First to arrive king of the dales AKA thefirebloke. Alblade Marion & And7rps arriving. Kevin1 arriving a couple of minutes later "after the camera was put away" We head off down the A6 getting off the main drag ASAP & hit some of the country lanes heading over Quernmoor to Caton then Over Kellet into Devils Bridge for a brew. Leaving Devils Bridge behind we head out towards Settle "again taking in the back roads, cutting out the vast majority of the A65 "for obvious reasons" Taking in the twisties & what is the holy grail to the firebloke the Hawes road giving and7rp2 a master class along the way....or did he? arriving in Hawes for the obligatory chips. Leaving Hawes we took the back road into Kirby Stephen for fuel, i'm quiet chuffed as i managed 93 miles & still had a couple of litres left in the tank "smoothly does it" the newly weds Mr & Mrs Gordon. Leaving Kirby Stephen we headed back towards Devils Bridge via the Fat Lamb reserve, awesome stretch of road Just mind the sheep *cough* Andy & the firebloke having a whale of a time in front leaving Marrion & myself having a play at our own pace, Alblade & Kevin1 a little further behind than that. arriving back at the bridge for an ice cream & we have quick game of i spy my little eye something beginning with.......... Wannabee Leaving that one there.....Moving on we returned the same way & ended as we's met. outside the Marriott Minus Alblade as he headed off towards Burnley, our fond farewells & gratitude to those that travel up for this ride out are given & it was time to head for home. What i will call my first proper ride out on the SP i loved it, I'll admit it was a bit of a handful when stretching her legs & the riding style is totally different to the blade, gone are the days of sticking a bike in 4th & just being able to roll on & off the throtle, if you don't use the gears You'll end up chugging up a hill like a kangaroo, she felt a bit wild on the odd occasion getting her out of corners with the power on, a suspension service & some new rubber & i reckon ill be fine. "plus a bit more saddle time" & i guess i'll just have to get used to the front end lifting Ta.
