My other half doesn't want to get on the back of my bike for going long distance, I don't blame her as I wouldn't either so I'm trying to find the cheapest and easiest way to get there.
Looked at Eurostar then TGV or Easyjet then TGV but no hotels in Le Mans.
Any ideas would be appreciated or what we would need to do to drive over there?
    Cheers Paul

they were doing very reasonable train fares to Le Mans via Paris - and there are Hotels or maybe apartments in Le Mans it can just take some locating them (friends booked late last year)

Cheapest and easiest is 4 of you in a car off peak (at night) on Tunnel both ways. Mates left Newcastle after work Thursday and were setting up tents at day break at Le Mans, on return they got home 03:00 Monday then went to work Monday so 1 day off work

    Cheers mate.
Would be looking at going for at least Saturday and Sunday with return on Monday to not miss anything.
Would like to know which site to look for apartments as other half doesn't really fancy driving.

from you direction the chunnel, I go via Portsmouth or Southampton on the ferry to le mans and there are loads of hotels around the area.

there is a good tram that runs right through the center of le mans to the circuit. it's cheap but can get crowded at peak times but always another in 5-15 mins.

Hôtel ibis Le Mans Est Pontlieue - Réservez votre hôtel pas cher à LE MANS

Hôtel Restaurant Green 7 - Le Mans

Soiree etape 72 - HOTEL LEVASSEUR : hotel, Centre Ville, Le Mans, Sarthe, restaurant, seminaire, spectacle

Hotel Le Mans - Hotel centre Le Mans Gare - Select hotel Le Mans

if you look at google maps at the center of le mans is the tram. it runs directly through the center.

when on google maps just scan into the area and search for hotels

    Thanks.
I usually go home on the Monday to not have to rush back to the ferry after the racing has finished.
