Im just looking around for some leathers My chest is a snug 40 inch, would a 40 be too tight or is there some tolerance? would i best getting a 42? wouldn't want it too big but at the same time i want to be able to breathe! (i sound like a woman) My local motorcycle clothing shops are few and far between so i cant really try a set on, so i want to order on line. Ive always had textiles and this is the first sports bike ive owned. so im a leather virgin! also another question, 1 piece or 2 piece?
If you speak to Demon Tweeks Andy on here great offers and I'm sure they work something out if sizing incorrect . Try on make sure enough room for back protector and sit on bike they all uncomfortable standing up a tad
Go for 1 piece and remember if you wear a back protector, take that into account before ordering. If 40 is too tight without protector go for a 42, but best to try on before purchase if you can.
agreed.. I bought a size bigger this year and I wear and Knox track vest (just a back protector) and the chest protection with it.. Oh.. and I've just bought my first 1 piece.. always been a two piece before..
to be onset every company 'cuts' their leathers slightly different. A made to measure set is the best option, Try before you buy is the next best option, buying a little large and getting it tailored is a great option also.
Hi, I am a 40" Marks and Spencer size in jackets. I currently have a size 52 (European size) Dainese leather jacket, fantastic fit. It allows me to wear a fleece underneath in the winter months. Remember the sizing of leathers is not consistent, they are all over the show; especially the trousers. The worst culprits being Alpinestars....trousers. You need to try on if at all possible. In trousers 50 is a small 32" waist. The Dainese seem to be a more generous fit. The Great Guy.
