Can anyone help? I'm fitting sone carbon fiber look mini indicators to my rr4, iv fitted load resistor to each indicator but with the load resistor fitted the indicator isn't vey bright...
You're better off fitting the led compatible relay, the resistors either don't work usually or restrict the current giving a dim led
Ohh ok, I got a funny feeling someone may have done something to the wireing where relay should be, il have to remove nose fairing a again to try find the relay, got mot soon and there flashing too fast

OK I'm a bit confused. Have you fitted a new relay for using LEDs, and if so do you have a link of which one it was? Can you send a link showing which indicators you have bought? A new relay is needed because LEDs do not load the OEM relay circuitry enough to get the correct flash rate, and so if you use the OEM relay you have to use resistors to create the extra load needed for correct operation. If I am not going daft you have an RR4/5, in which case I think I have a spare LED relay that you can have for the cost of postage to try and fix this. Some new LEDs are coming with an extra component fitted. My Oxford Nanos have this and it is unhelpfully labelled 5W, and without taking it apart I can't tell from that if it is extra resistors or a voltage reducing device. Lambchops has some Rizomas which also have another bit inline, and the indicators will break if you remove it, so be careful. I'm sat around job hunting so if you send me the links to the bits you have got I will try and figure out what is going on.

These are your resistors These are my old ones If your's came with just the 2 wires on I would guess that you connected them in-line (in series), as in just on the red wires for your indicators, but those ones are for cars which I think is the cause of the problem. If that is the case then I believe you need to wire them in parallel as this will effectively reduce the resistance and make your bulbs brighter. Excuse my extremely ropey etch-a-sketch type drawing but this is what I mean. Hope all that makes sense, it's certainly reminded me of how much I had forgotten about such things.
Here is an old thread where me an Colin spent the nite tinkering with his blade fitting various bits n bobs including rear brake/indicator light cluster and originally done away with the oem side indicators but it shows how we wired up his bike. But soon after fitting the resistor units (couple of rides out) we pulled em off and went down the led compatible relay as the resistors were getting pretty hot and melting part of the rear tail, and one of the resistor terminals sheered off with the bike vibrations!
Thanks for ur reply, I have wired it same as ur second pic and that's when it seems dim.. If I remove it and let it flash fast then it's bright.. I will have to find the relay on my bike, it is the rr4
Thanks for all you're help and the offer if the relay.. Thanks for all you're help, and I miss read part bout ur relay... I brought one off fleabay which worked a treat! Them resistors as u say are car ones and I think looking around now I relise there 50w and the small ones 25w so was taking up too much power makin the LEDs dim! So after making up a nice alloy bracket and mounting them under rear seat and extending the wires I learnt the lesson to try them first!! Blonde moment! No I'm not blonde!! Thanks again
