Hi Guys/Girls Having trouble installing LED indicator, when I select right or left they flash very fast but when I select hazards they flash as normal ? any suggestions on possible solution
LEDs don't draw as nuch current and so the confuse the OEM relay which thinks a bulb has blown. Best option is to replace the relay with an LED compatible one. Other option is to fit an inline resistor, which most indicators come with, but be careful where you place it as they can get a tad warm.
I put LED's on the front of mine. leds were about 6w and the resister about 6w. It does not need the full 21w to get the right flash rate.
Buy an indicator relay. These plug straight into the original connector, no overheating, and control the flash rate of all fronts and rear indies. My was £15.99. Easy to fit on 2010 models as relay is behind the nose cone. Only screen off then two side bolts and mirror bolts and the whole front drops forward like bin chute flap for access to it. Chin
