Ordered my gp pro the other day it's landed in blighty today so hopefully get a nice knock at the door in the morning
one of these? 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Leo Vince GP Pro Drive By - YouTube I have to say, that looks and sounds the mutts nuts!
sweet Just fitted one to my bike, heres a tip for you, the can sits really, really close to the swing arm, i spaced it out with a 2mm washer to give it a little more clearance in the special spacers on the silencer bracket, sounds frikkin awesome though!
Cheers steveo I'm not looking forward to fitting it I'm hopeless and stuff like this. It didn't arrive this morning gutted I wanted it ready for thruxton.
Yeah they are amazing cans, apart from the washers they are a must! another tip is use a little Firegum just to seal the joints! Oh and running without the inserts totaly farks up the fueling, so save up and get yourself a powercommander
i fitted a gp pro myself and im a mechanical idiot. just dont rely on the cracking instructions it comes with.
I've heard the instructions are something to be admired. Can't believe I need a power commander too it's getting expensive this. I bought a new blade on the basis I wouldnt need to spend much on it cos it was new
ha yeah i did same. once you start its hard to stop though. Mines getting power commander fitted and dyno'd on wednesday.
I'm getting PCV, O2 eliminator and k and n air filter. Then dyno'd and custom mapping done. All up just under £400. Done at Jordan bikes in Leeds.
Altho the bike runs fine with the 2 inserts provided just does depend on how loud you want it I'm lookin at PC V's at the mo they're going for £265 on ebay new and about £150 for custom map altho I want the map switch for baffle in & baffle out maps
I was going to go down the map switch route - baffle in/ out, but after having baffle out it was too loud so not going to do that and just going for single map.
I have a LV GP Pro and PCV fitted. To be fair, the bike runs fine with baffle in an no PCV. It is loud with the baffle in!
Mine ran lumpy and tick over was very rough, didn't feel right at all which is why I went for pcv. Plus I like spending money : )
Nah with the louder baffle, felt like it was struggling not to stall at idle, then when I was backing off revs it was very lumpy, felt wrong
