Something I've just noticed and worth a mention.

Last week I had a lovely ride out, really got into the zone, but on the way home I felt my left hand cramping up and it became quite uncomfortable doing a full pull on the clutch. I noticed that the position of the levers wasn't forming my forearms and wrists into a straight line so wondered whether this could be contributory. Odd I hadn't noticed before as it was one of the first things I did to my Ducati when I got it and hadn't even thought about it on the blade until now.

I just wheeled it out of the garage and got the socket set out and noticed that the bottom nut on the front brake wasn't much more than finger tight, so good spot. When I went to tighten them after adjustment I noticed that the bracket was marked 'UP' with an arrow, but it was facing down.

It must be important enough for Honda to say so and I wonder whether it being upside down had contributed to one bolt being loose, but it might be worth checking guys.

    You never know.

I think the up is significant as the clamp will be made to "meet" at the top but leave a gap at the bottom so as to give good clamping force.
If its upside down the gap would be at the top and be conducive to Honda quality!

You're right Steve. To experiment I tried doing it up both ways and the 'correct' way you can feel it pinch together much better than how it was. Just goes to show that a small error can potentially cause a serious issue. I've had the bike 18 months and hadn't noticed before. First time I've ever been grateful for a bout of cramp.
