Hi i looking to put aftermarket clutch/brake levers on my 2011 blade, but which ones? TITAX, PAZZO or ASV, whats the difference apart from price, Help!!!!
Between the 3 that you have listed there I would say ASV's asthey have more adjustment. But as above the Harris 1's are also really nice.
I used to sell the 'Harris' ones, they are made by TWM, only problem with their cable clutch lever was it did not have an adjuster on it.
I've just had a look at the Harris levers and yes they look good, thanks for that martin!! Now I've got 4 levers to think about lol.
I have the Pazzo levers fitted to my bike and they work and feel pretty good, the Titax levers looks pretty similar but have not used em before. The Asv levers are nice too and to me a more finished product with rounded edges rather than the more machine finished chamfered edges found on the Pazzo units. To me levers are pretty subjective thing and it's more about looks than anything else otherwise why change from the stock levers that do the same thing as any other, ok aftermarket units can give more adjustability but isn't that why the cables have adjusters put in them! The Pazzo units fitted to my bike have quick adjusters for both clutch and brake, the quick adjusters lime stock brake lever allows the lever to come closer to the bar for small handed folks but the final adjustment is done via the cable. I found the clutch quick adjuster can't (or shouldnt) be altered on the fly as using the quick adjusters after the cable adjuster is set can lead to either the clutch slipping or not disengaging depending on which way u go with the adjuster. Sorry for long post which may or may not help with your choice.
Pazzo's on mine, just as good as ASV's but cheaper and more exclusive! Every Dog and his Dick has ASV's! having said that those Chinese Cheapy's off Fleabay have had rave reviews from members on ere that have 'risked it' for £30
I had some Chinese levers on my GSXR for over 3 years, never had an issue with them. I'll be ordering some for the blade soon.
I had ASV shorties on my 2010 & 2012 blade, went for Pazzo on my Speed triple... just ordered a set of ASV's for the Speed, much more adjustment and look...better. you pays your money you takes your choice! One more thing - normal or short length ????????? 2 more things to consider! View attachment 13123 View attachment 13124
yeah but ASV's are only a little bit more expensive but the quality shows - style over substance... just sayin'
I've got best of both, standard size clutch and short brake lever! The short clutch lever can cause a lot of fatigue when in a lot of stop start traffic.
Exactly the reason why I changed to long levers. If I had the choice I would do the same as above and have a short brake lever and a long clutch lever.
