Just finished work this morning and my mate texts me and offers me this battery new still in box.

    Google Translate

Tried doing a bit of research to see if it's compatible with my 05 blade. Brain is fried with all the different info, plus im tired. Will it fcuk my bike up or will it help it. I know about the weight savings and starting power, but any other relevant info would be great.

P.S been offered it at a hard to turn down rate.

Can these batteries be used with standard chargers or do you need to buy a specific Lithium Ion charger?

I'm pretty sure you need a specific charger.
Optimate do a special model for Li batteries.

    Hey Bry,

If you don't fancy the battery or your mate has another & the price is that good, let me know as I may be interested :)

I bought the battery couple weeks ago, but not fitted yet. I now need to store it over the winter. Normally keep my battery in the hotpress. Does anybody have a list of lithium ion 5500 battery chargers. I've read that many comments and reviews over the last couple of hours. I just need to know what chargers work and what doesn't.

Can I add that Tecmate, the mother company for Optimate, answer any technical queries quickly and comprehensively. Well worth an email to save any Chinese whispers on picking the right product.

    Thanks.
I'm a bit paranoid that there are different types of Li battery, but don;t know if that makes any diff.

Hmmm, you should hardly ever need to charge Li battery anyway.
