My battery needs to get replaced but i couldn't find a definitive answer.
Which one would be perfect for a RR8 and do you need 2 of them or just 1 because i read some comments that you would need 2 of them?

I've got a Magneti Mareli on mine, have used Shido and Shorai in the past too on other bikes.... I had an issue with the Shido but that was probably me letting it go flat which f**ked it.... Great for a bit of weight saving, just don't let them go completely flat as they never recover completely..... you'll also need a proper opimiser for a lithium battery too..... not sure why you'd need two?? unless you plan on losing one?

I'm using the YTZ7S-BS (I originally bought this for my R1 but I thing the direct translation for a cbr1000 if the YTZ10S).... had no problems with mine and will fire up first time even if left for a 2 to 3 weeks at a time without use)...

Don't understand why you would need 2 batteries!
I bought aliant a year ago with higher Ah compared to the likes of shido, excide,.... The only prob with it is the terminals are not in the right place for straight connection and you need to make up an adaptor. Otherwise the performance has been good winter and summer; last time I put it on a charger was last Jan. (I use the bike all year round)
