Good read, I thought: http://www.visordown.com/road-tests-first-rides/living-with-a-ducati-1199-panigale-s/21634.html Even with the bad points listed I still want one!
Good review but 20k!!! Can pick up a 2011 S1000RR with less than 1000 miles or under 9k. I'd buy a Panigale if I had the pockets to justify the price tag.
My mate uses his on track and most days on the road he has a base model and has been waiting for his R and T Ohlins for over a year don't know what the hold up has been.....he's just canceled the order as the OEM suss is doing the bizz even though the plan was to fit the good stuff and make an Ohlins kitted 1199, he loves the bike and on track to date all have been shocked at the drive he gets out of corners the thing is a weapon! It's an awsome bike! Like you say even with the bugs!
Daily commuter???? Please don't!!! For those who can afford it though, it would be the bike to have for the weekends and special events. If it were just that little bit bigger (and I had the money) I'd have 1.
Nearly....lol Thing is unlike a few of us on here he's not bothered about the dirt and don't get too attached, he's had 1198s and desmo's but gets rid of them shortly after buying to upgrade to the next model, I wish I could have done the same and stayed on the new model ladder but sadly I just can't let them go...or see them covered in grime....however I'm sure he gets a great deal more fun on track etc than I do, maybe I'm bound by my own obsessions...
Nothing wrong with that mate. Atleast you something that actually feels like yours, and not as though you only have it on loan.
I was very surprised how many of these I seen at this years nw200 races.and a lot of them had suffered at the hands of the the good old irish weather. If I owned one I wouldnt care about weather, unless the gritters are out.
Never ! Except after Audi takes care of all the problems and the ugly exhaust over the hugger. It looks good, that's all.
P&H in Crawley have a rather spectacular looking panigale in Black with grey details - looks bloody awesome and made me really really want one for the first time. My friend often commutes from haywards heath to Portsmouth on his - round trip of 100 miles - but i think less so now the weather is so rubbish.
I love it in every way (not sure about the rear pipe route as said) and the race spec bike in the flesh is just tooooo good! Ok so it smokes when running in, goes pop if your unlucky and is a typical Ducati but for a thing of beauty it's a must have and in a line of other number one superbikes it would be my loto must... The only thing I find a little disappointing is it just does not have the Ducati BOOM the shorter stroke motor does not sound like the 1098R or 10XX... even with the big fat 80mm (at one point) full system it seems a little quiet...
anyone got a pic or link to this bike at P&H - few people have mentioned it but looked on their site and couldnt find anything? does it look similar to the pic i posted of the RS13 shown in cologne? think Art will confirm but that pic is a race version and not 2013 road colour? shame if true as i think it looks amazing.... EDIT EDIT - Posted at same time!!?? So thats what they have at P&H?
My current facebook status (if i had an account) would state - Skint - so it's all yours! lol how much was it? assuming it was an S model and 20k?
I just rang them, its a base ABS and a one off - £16250 OTR, so only like £350 or so more than a standard model. That is very tempting indeed. I've already sold my left nut, i'm sitting here wondering if i still need the right one!
Bollox!!!! why did i ask that silly, silly question...... laguna in ashford are running 0%... guess they are too?
