I currently have a 98 rrw in orange and grey, love the bike as it tick's all the appropriate boxes for me but I fancy a 1000 blade and I'm looking at a 1000rr4, has anyone experienced both of these bikes and is it worth moving to an injection bike and 100cc more or stick with my carb 900rrw.
Just remember to save a few quid to replace the stator n flywheel unless it's had the upgrade.............very common issue with the 04/5 model
I had both. Ran a RRV for about 8 years and have had the 05 since new. Took me a long time to settle into the 05. (Same as 04 bar colours) Newer blade steers like a barge compared to the RRV and took a lot of getting used to. A good bit quicker tho but nowhere near as much fun as the older blade. Don't regret the change but do regret selling the RRV. Should've kept it.:-((
