I am interested in change some parts in order to reduce the weight of my blade. Anyone have ideas how to do that? Thanks in advance
Change the wheels to carbon fibre and get rid of the stock exhaust and that's a massive chunk straight away! Change the bolts to titanium and that's another kilo saved and take off the stuff you don't use pillion footpegs etc
Join a gym. Ps that is not a snide remark. It is far easier for us to lose a stone in weight than it is to lose a stone off of a bike.
Losing personal weight is a great way of doing it, im no lard arse but at 15 stone i knew the best place to start was with me. Ive now lost 5 kilo's and will lose another 5 before the nice weather comes so without touching my bike i will have lost 10 kilo's...
rule of thumb is 1kg=1hp,lose 5 kg and thats a 5hp gain!!!,hence why i had to trade the blade for a beemer
I've gone from 13 8 to 12 7 well pleased with myself no beer exercise and 1takeaway a week . Week of skiing and beer from Saturday so a few pounds might be coming back ha ha
Well I've lost 5kg of the bike weight with my titanium headers I've got now and whatever bhp gain they give too! Win win for me then
Lighten your bike an loose weight . That's what I did don't know what my blade weights Now but I weight 12 stone 10 now .
has anyone bought a the exhaust servo eliminator? that could save weight i guess? along with a aftermarket exhaust, lipo battery, and shedding some body fat; then you'll have your self a super faster, lighter and nimbler blade
Thanks guys but i prefer for the blade. I started to lose some weigh too. I hope i will not find it again... It still possible to lose some more, but my wife will put me off...
