Lucky Escape,2 fireblades nearly destroyed

    Woke up this morning to see lots more light than usual.I looked over into the gardens next door to see the 90 odd ft conifer had come down.If it had blown the other way it would have flattened the garage with mine and Tristrams fireblades in it along with the family X5.Phew glad it was south westerly winds and not north easterly winds.My mate John the fence erector did say that conifer is one of the biggest he had seen and would not cut it down for the sheer size of it dt10 091.jpg

    Amazing picture - some cheap fire wood going spare there

    THat's a few bob to get cut up and removed I would think.

    Ground is so wet now the roots don't have a good purchase - few lives lost last night in the storms brings it home

    I'm amazed you slept through it, that must if made a hell if a noise coming down

    Glad we chopped down most of our high trees :)
    That could have been very dangerous, roll on the spring
