Considering adding a set of rearsets but noticed the exhaust hangar attaches to the back of the standard foot rest plate. Has anyone already done this and do you have any advice.

All aftermarket rear sets for the blade with come with all the correct fittings to hold the exhaust hanger so you will have no problems there

Thats great news, now just to figure out what set to go for, any ideas where I can source a set of Gilles VCR or CRG SSRs at the right price.

Oh, I thought I'd read that somewhere, was this a simple DIY modification or better left to a skilled fabricator?

No it wasn't difficult. My old exhaust a Remus bolted straight on but the Leo Vince has a load of spacers and does not work with the rear sets. I contacted both companies and they both did more a less the same thing our products are designed to work with oem. I made the bracket out of an old tail tidy and did say with all the spacers and looks much better any way wouldnt have thought would cost much to have one made. I wouldn't have been able to do it with out my dads workshop and missing his vice.
