My usual 90 mile round trip to Hartside. It was still a bit cold, so cold in fact that there was snow on the tops of the hills and I had to stop to warm my hands on the exhaust heat shield at one point. But I managed to get out for a couple of hours. Disappointingly there was no one at Hartside, about 4 pm and only a few bikes to nod at on the way there. There was still quite a bit of salt around and the road surface leading to Hartside from Penrith left quite a lot to be desired in places. In fact they haven't repaired parts of the road I reported around September last year. The surface leading up the the 20mph bend is quite dangerous with a very broken road surface and very deep and long ruts especially around the centre road markings. Here's a few pics.
