At last I have pulled my finger out and the new bike garage /man cave has been specified and ordered: 12ft x 10ft timber framed structure Wide double doors hung on 3 heavy duty hinges, the centre one reversed to prevent lifting. 5 lever lock and two heavy duty padlock padbolts fitted top and bottom, the inside of the doors will also have a solid horizontal timber plank fitted into brackets to stop the doors being forced open. Flooring with 50mm insulation below 12mm exterior grade flooring Walls and roof insulated with 40mm foil backed Celotex/ Kingspan then internally boarded with 9mm plywood Side door with 5 lever lock and additional heavy duty padbolt. Double fixed window with internal twilweld mesh grill All external bolts will be coach type to prevent some little scrotum trying to unbolt the doors. First fix wiring for Alarm, heating, power sockets and lighting A matching side gate with 5 lever lock and fencing is also going up. With a bit of luck it should all be up and serviceable by mid to end of November. Should be nice and comfy for the Panigale and still plenty of room for a "project" L has already commented that she is surprised I haven’t ordered a flat screen tv, sofa, wallpaper and curtains for it.
Sounds funky David. And living out there you'll have no shortish of Amish brethren to help when raising day comes.
We've just renewed the planning permission we got to build a double garage with workshop space above, just before Jeanette was made redundant, so I've started salivating on what could be again. It all boils down now to whether I've got a job in the Spring when we want to break ground on it.
And for a grand I can fit A Heat Pump Air Conditioner in there for you. MacMarney Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
Sounds great David, although, you haven't actually ordered it without pictures!! Love to build my own place so that I could go to town on the garage spec, it'd be the 1st thing to be completed lol
