Hey guys so Iv had my blade only a few months, 2005, arrow exhaust k&n air filter, the usual but nothing special mods, and it's just not quick enough in the lower down power, a mate of mine told me the are restricted in first and second gear, does anyone know or has anybody removed this? I take it you have to get it mapped? Then I might as well get a power commander too ?
What can you loverly people tell me about this or advice
    Thanks

you can fit a TRE(timing retard eliminater) to overcome the restriction, but i've never known anyone to do it purely for the fact they feel it lacks power in 1st+2nd.it basically fools the ECU into thinking your in 4th gear,so allows for full power all the way through the gears.it's a basic way to stop you flipping the bike essentially.

dropping a tooth on thefront or +2-4 on the rear will give you that kick in the pants you want, front would be easier to do than rear though, and cheaper as you may need to add links to your chain if going 3 or 4 on the rear.

a pc3/5/bazzaz is a good idea aswell though if you've swapped exhaust+filter, but ideally need a dyno run+map doing for it.

interesting, yeah sounds like there's easier ways around this, I thought changing the sprockets would be a easier cheaper way to get some faster acceleration, does anybody know the original sprocket sizes? Or what sizes do you guys run?
    Cheers
