    Hi All,

I recently got a PCV with Secondary Fuel Module and Quickshifter from ebay for a decent price.

I want to get it mapped and set up down at Race Engineering (possibly ecu flashed also) but would like a baffle in and out map.

So question is, where can I buy the map switch from? I cant seem to find anywhere online that will sell them.

    Cheers

    Pete

I'm sure I got mine from calsport mate.

I have 1 sitting in my toolbox.

I'll see if I can find you a pick of it.

You might want to check how the switch works.
I know with Bazzaz, the map switch is essentially one length of wire looped back on itself with a switch in series. So one map is when the circuit is closed and one is when the circuit is open.

Might be worth checking online if someones dont a "how to" and save some money

If you go onto Dynojet it shows you how the switch works. This is the switch dynojet use ;)
The 2 wires from the switch go into the rear of the PCV and crimp in using the small screws on the underside.

The switch is a pretty expensive item for what it is, any throw switch type will work as mentioned the switch simply makes a connection for one map and flip switch other way to break the connection and select other map.

Any electrical switch could be bought for few quid from the likes of maplins and installed in the tail section or if using a waterproof type placed anywhere on the bike with a little ingenuity, the dynojet switch to me is pretty bulky and cumbersome for close to twenty quid in my eyes the dynojet switch looks out of place on a sportbike handlebar! But hey ho miby that's just me.:D

so what map would you use as a second map if you do install the switch?

Pretty sure the OP is looking to set one map up for baffle in and another map for baffle out phantom.:)

no I meant in general for people with them.
I was thinking normal map then a slightly rich
    one for track days.

Why would you want a slightly rich map for trackdays?

Surely on track you want the bike running at optimum, not rich?

Depending on the bike some get a slight power gain
When run slightly rich.racers do it all the time although its
Not advisable for everyday road use.but does look cool
When it flames like a champ on the over run lol.

I mounted a small waterproof toggle switch within easy reach whilst riding; cost about £3 from ebay. As has been shown; its just two wires back to the PC screw terminals; easy peasy.

Mine had a custom map & the zero map loaded. I loaded the zero map so I could understand & compare the custom map although I also used it in the wet (On track days).

    :)

I was a bit naughty, used the full beam switch on my last bike as the map switch. Never really use the beam anyway, and if I did used the other 'flasher' switch. Needs a bit of hacking but IMO nice and tidy!
Used it to toggle between a full beans map and Autotune(commuter map)

You can just see my switch in this picture, it's between the tax disc & the pillion lock:

Having it mapped next month for Baffle in/out.

I'll be having a full beans baffle out, o2 eliminated r77 and aftermarket filter map, and a more audible friendly baffle in map for when i need to ease off a bit :p.

I'll source me a waterproof switch then to use!.

    I'm looking for similar.

Map 1: US Headers (no cat), Arrow Slip On, Baffle Out, O2 Eliminator, PCV, K&N filters, Gutted Air Scoop.

Map 2: Same as above, but with Baffle In (Neighbour Friendly :D)
