Standard engine 2012 cbr1000rr Piper cross filter Scorpion exhaust Arrived at Dynojet around 1pm . Welcomed in and waited for Clive Padgett to take a cbr600rr off the dyno star struck lol . I was booked in for 2 maps baffle in and baffle out and got talking to Richard who was a cracking chap and talked me through everything what he was doing etc. I wasn't allowed in while the mapping was being done but I could hear it from the car park eeeek sounded lovely !!! First map baffle out Richard come out and said a little down on power due to the tyre d212gp getting to hot and stopping the dyno roller . He said we will do the baffle in run and see how hot it gets . Richard got the power curve and trimming down as much as I could understand near on perfect with both maps he was happy with this but he was still a bit peeved with the rear tyre sticking . So after both maps loaded into the pcv and the map switch fitted he was gonna fit a road tyre to get the max power run but at 5pm I wasn't really that bothered I just wanted the fuelling sorted which was done and get home I was happy with the results 162.7 RWHP baffle out , baffle in 158.9 he said I could add 5-8 to this without the tyre issue as he knows the Dunlop slicks have took 15hp as they have been tested So no more hunting at idle woooo over the room cracking job at dynojet So it has 150 more than ill ever use lol
I had the same problem when I had a custom map done for mine the rear tyre which I had done a few track days on was getting too sticky and slowing the dyno down . Good advise for anyone doing a custom map if you can have a decent tyre on .
