Following on from ' I didn't really overcook that corner'.

I had a situation a few years ago, when having a brake service and tyre change on my R1. The mechanic told me all done and went off to the loo. I paid for the work and got on the bike (which was parked outside the workshop) I pulled away and went to apply the brakes as road junction ahead, f*** no brakes.

I ended up crossing the road and aimed for the loading bay of a warehouse opposite going up the 'goods in' ramp (much to the surprise of a few workers seeing a R1 entering goods in) The look of their faces as I pulled in was somewhat of a shock.

I stopped before hitting anything, only to see the mechanic in my mirrors waving his arms, and shouting not sure if I have finished the brakes !
