Had this with my car insurance and my AA cover, i think they consider that most people will auto renew and just accept it !

thats the thing they just want you to automatically renew,go and compare then get them to match your lowest quote im with MCE and ESURE for car, their c**ts for it must think we are stupid every years same massive hike on renewal but then come down!!

I got a renewal through from them the other day... For my old bike! When I got the blade I had asked them to swap the policy over but they just created another one! Useless.

The sad thing is that a lot of people will just forget and auto renew... easy money for them, i had to explain to the AA why i did not want to auto renew my policy at £240 for my wife and I...... when i can walk to the Trafford Centre and sign up as a new customer for £100, for the same policy !!! But, fair play to them, the guy on the phone (after i told him why my IQ and good education had precluded me from taking up the kind offer of £240 !!) did say that a lot of customers just '' fall for it '' !

I'm with mce. On my last renewal quote it went up 150. Did a search and mce were best quote, 150 less than my original policy! How does that work out? I spoke to them and the guy waffled some sh*t and apologised. They just hope people auto renew. Bastards

car insurance is being investigated because its such a popular thing but because bikes make up only about 10% of that its hard to see there ever being enough pressure on the companys to sort them selves out

Just go on a compare site mate.

Admiral tried it with me this year on the cars, told me there was nothing they could do. I took out a separate insurance on my car with Admiral and the wife with Diamond & saved £200..... Then got a call back from Admiral to say they're the same company and if I cancel and switch back to an Admiral multi-car, I'd get a further £110 off.

A lot of p!ssing about to keep my premiums level.

Just had my renewal for the two bikes and the golf- £1250, was £750 last year. The best part is I ask them to explain hows this is made up, some waffle and £40 something pound for breakdown cover, a benifit of the policy i'm told. I explain I have breakdown cover free with my bank account so don't need it, get told they can't take it off!!! How's it a benifit if I have to pay for something I don't fooking want, spaz's

Gulp.. Mine is up next month and I am waiting for the letter to drop thorough the door from Carole Nash, I am dreading the long haul to get a reasonable renewal deal on my blade that is a year old and therefore worth less then last year. Paid £550 last time but I have to bear in mind that I lost all my no claims due to the break in owning a bike. Still now I am 50 I might be eligible for a SAGA discount. I won’t be holding my breath.
