I’ve just seen the news that the legend will be racing the TT, and the NW200 this year aboard a trusty fire blade. Whilst I think this is absolutely mega, I can’t help but feel at 50, and nearly 4 years since his last competitive event, he’s pushing the boat out. I also can’t help but feel Honda are trying to just cash in off his name. What’s your thoughts, is he doing the rite thing? Good luck to him.
I’m sure he’ll be fine. Don’t forget Joey’s TT win on the SP1 in 2000, he was about the same age back then.
Shrewd move on Hondas part, what he gives to the team and a new model will be worth every penny I imagine. If the bikes right don't see why he can't stick it on the podium. Beating Hicky or Harrison would be a tall order though. Can't wait for TT 2022.
I think he will do fine, steady top 5s and in the background if the young 'uns go tech and park up waiting for a lift back to the Grandstand, then he'll be grinning on the podium like a Chesire (Lancashire?!) cat
Be interesting to see how R1 goes 1st time in ages been on the roads ...I think Hickman will be hard to beat what's Dunlop on....he always pushes the envelope ...just wish all involved safe and well
Just read Dunlop quit Pbm Ducati and will compete on R6 and Fireblade in super stock race which he may run in senior ..., Ducati around the TT no thanks overheat its self plus self combust the hammering it would get I reckon he may jump on a BMW for the big race .....what do you all think...
