Someone’s having a laugh… 30th anniversary at 30K! So apart from the paint job they have chucked in front and rear carbon huggers, seat cowl and a taller screen, Oh and some sticky tyres! So about £1500 worth of parts, the outgoing Anniversary is £23999 so I’m baffled at what else makes 30k …Must be the 5k paint job and the plaque on the yoke
Don't forget McPint's individual signature on each of the 30 bikes, those sharpies are bloody expensive.
Not forgetting the ring of fire on the dash! Oh did i mention you also get that on the 30th anniversary model along with the etching on the exhaust anyway. Worth at least 2 bhp They probably have a RRR-RR-R SP2 at 35K next year with some ASV levers, Special anodised HRC valve caps and some carbon surround for your fuel filler cap! At 30k I’d be expecting to see a full system or even a half system, and definitely some lightweight wheels The OE wheels are identical to the 2012 model and are ridiculously heavy.
Surely the 2012 wheels were 6Y spoke and the 2022 are 5Y spoke (same as 2019, except rear may be wider section?). Not sure of exact weight.
They are different wheels from the 2020 model at the end of the day if someone is a massive TT fan or collector they will sell personally that kind of price I would buy a new Ducati sp v2 ...stunning .Dave is right it should be more special even throw in a track day with Jhon in.......I have a track R1M built by cresent Yamaha about 25k James Hiller put it together delivered it to the track and went out on a R1 with me all day ....that was great service
One Y less and slightly lighter by probably a gram. I think what I’m trying to say is most manufacturers with high end models are using super light wheels to achieve even greater handling. Certainly Ducati and Aprilia, Even Yamaha have been using forged aluminium wheels on the R1 models. I’m sure the SP2 will be along soon with these installed, And a plethora of other goodies Even my KTM SD1290RR had super lightweight PVM wheels fitted as standard…..
.Don't forget the last SP2 came with Marchesini forged wheels, a big valve head and a £22,225 price tag in 2017
Same as the ZX10R Special they did with the Marchesini wheels… Price point doesn’t really equal sum of parts
