    Hi guys

I'm just about to have my front suspension sent away to get some work done.

I've narrowed it down to 2 suspension companies and would appreciate any thoughts/preferences on which to go for.

    Either Kais or MCT suspension.

    Thanks

Had my forks serviced (ohlins cartridge kit) and TTX rear shock serviced and all setup, springs to match weight etc etc at MCT Darren's a top bloke and really knowledgable, has a blade too. As for what it feels like haven't ridden it yet but can't wait to!

I have no experience of Kais but have used Darren at MCT for my last 3 bikes. He has fully rebuilt my front forks with MCT's own internals and the front is even better than I had hoped for. He also did a full service on my rear Ohlins and has set my bikes up on several occasions and each time they have been spot on. He is very experienced, has a very nice Blade and I believe he is more than just a little quick on the track.

He could have advised me to go for the more expensive set up I was intending, instead he recommended an option he thought would work better for me and that actually worked out cheaper.

Great to deal with and never had a problem with their work and my suspension takes quite a hiding on the back roads I ride on.

KAIS for me used a few times and they also support a lot of the UK based Championships.

your probably gonna get a load of conflicting advise, so heres mine. Ive only used KAIS they serviced and re sprung my ohlins on the kwak and have to say well impressed friendly, reasonably priced and they know thier stuff , did an excellent job of giving me working suspension even with my eight stone on board.................well ok a bit more stones but the bike handles rather well now.

Going by the replies it looks as though I can't really lose with either of the choices.

With MCT they will be using they're own piston kit, where as Kais are going to use the ohlins kit.
Both are the same price give or take £10.

MCT are just down the road from me, keep meaning to spend some dosh there as all the local guys rave about the results they get from even a simple work over.

Kais for me Colin, been using them for years! Had my 929 set up with Ohlins rear shock and front springs and also my 05 trackbikewith the same. Andy (the father) is at BSB every other weekend, they also look after the Triumph Triple Challenge. What better recommendation?

Both are probably as good as each other!

........................however, only one is offering genuine Ohlins piston kit internals for the same money as non gen internals.

    Decission made IMHO

MCT stuff may not be well known but from a functional standpoint their gear is excellent and from my own experience of Ohlins fork internals the MCT stuff performs just as well. One of the things MCT can offer is internals that are specific to the type of riding you want the forks to handle. I think lower down the price range with well known brands you get a more generic product. I actually have 5W oil in my forks to work with the fast acting valves/pistons they fitted as I ride on very bumpy roads. The set up works a treat.

Generally speaking I also go for well known brands but I could have fitted Ohlins or K Tech last time around but decided to give MCT's stuff a whirl, glad I did as it works incredibly well.

I am sure from what others have said that Kais are also reliable.
