I love old strokers but I'm betting that runs like a dog and would cost loads get into a good workable stake.

    Quotes like

"There is a controller fitted to the bike to allow water injection to be fitted to increase lower RPM power but it isnt connected at the minute."

    Would worry me.

You can pick up a half decent standard RG500 for half the price and that for me would be more desirable.

    But each to his own.

I have to have traction control plus a lean angle meter on. This piece of junk has nothing. I would rather have Del Boy's Robin reliant. I don't know why you guys like old bangers! Lol

That's a bit harsh mate. Last winter, (when I unavoidably had to use my immaculate 'blade to get to a Christmas Day Dinner/Family re-union) after seeing the shocking effects a single 80 mile round trip on salted roads had on my beautiful bike, I'm seriously considering a fibre-glass bodied 'Robin Reliant' to get me through to next spring. Or indeed any 'old banger' that I can fix myself with a screw-driver and an adjustable spanner and doesn't need a £20k+ diagnostic installation to interrogate it's ECU that then allows a mechanic to tell me that if I don't re-place some obscure (but very costly) sensor then all I've got left on my hands is a £5,000+ MOT failure and I'd best call the local breakers yard. In fact, just like any 'Grab-a-Granny' night at my local, I'm looking for a 'Banger' ;) that, like me, is Old and Simple. :D

There is the small matter that a so called 'Great Guy' would appreciate the attractions of old 2 Stroke bikes from not so long ago and that it's not a simple case of £X will buy this amount of 'Modern Tech' compared to 'irreplaceable Tech' from years ago.

This is why 50cc Fizzy Mopeds fetch £5K all day long in split mint cond.

Only a short sited and inexperienced youngster would usually make such a comment! [IMG]
