Back in 1993 I saw an amazing machine on the cover of Fast Bikes & within 6 weeks I had taken delivery of a

Kawasaki ZXR750 L1 - I've been prety obsessed with the bike ever since.

I got it into my head to buy another and do it up 'Standard' like!

This is the shed I bought, it had been stored outside and had 38,500 on the cock and would not start! that was October 2010

    h+Job%u00252527s+a+Good%2527n.JPG

This is how it ended up within 2 weeks of ownership! I bought another 4 over the course of the build plus a motor with just 5,000 on the clock complete with original clocks and ECU

The plan to rebuild it in standard trim went to pot when I visited Andy at Triple S and discovered Metalic Powder Coating

This was my Christmas present to myself. Andy even wrapped it up in Christmas lights ready for when I collected it. I was delighted especially as when its outside it changes colour totally.

Well I could go on about this bike for hours but needless to say with the frame in such amazing colour the rest just had to go to Dream Machine

    This went in

    This came out!

I took just under 2 years to rebuild the bike with parts from all over the UK and the USA

    DSCN2883.JPG

    Top Yoke from the USA

    DSCN2964.JPG

    Gixer 1000 Callipers from fleebay

    DSCN2992.JPG

Masters from a Ducati 1096, Carbon reservoir holders from USA the list just goes on then slowly I started putting it all back together with the help of the 360 photos Id taken as believe it or not I am no mechanic! I'm a Chef by trade!

    DSCN3044.JPG

Slowly but surly the bike turned from a pile of bits into 'Trinity'

As you can see I'm pretty obsessed with my bikes especially out Trinity so much so that she appeared in Fast Bikes. Sadly only on the readers pages but at least she made print.

Here's my original Aria Helmet that bought back in 1993, an original sales brochure and original Fast Bikes Mag from 1993

    T1.jpg

I even squeezed into a period set of leathers bought for this photo and never worn since as they are two sizes too small LOL

Great bikes, I've had two L1's both green, but none were as nice as this one, even though it has a lot of pink on it :D

Well done, I have started projects like this twice now but they always get sold in boxes!
I either get bored or run out of skill

That's for the kind words Guys it turned into a labour of love. Still have a bit of tweeking to do. i.e. its throwing out a 2 foot flame on bliping but thats because she's running rich LOL I love it so much and knowing she will be 30 years old on Bens 21st makes it all that much more special. Plus he took loads of videos and helps sort her out from the off!

Cheers folks much appreciated. Shame they didn't like her at the Manchester Bike show as she's not 100% original! Mind Ben enjoyed showing off his pride and joy.

    P1040285.JPG
Getting Trinity to the show was a nightmare as there was 2 foot of snow on the drive so I refused to use the Moto Lug trailer so in the end I took all the seats out the VW. Much to Mrs Raymondo's dismay LOL

    P1040291.JPG

This was taken before the doors opened. Not the best show I've visited and would not show there again as when we came back on Sunday evening it was like a free for all with folks just rolling bikes out at 1645 with no one checking anything!

    IMG_0653.JPG

    Still we got it there.
