Michelin Pilot Road 4 any good?

    Got a set of these barely used but not sure whether to stick them on the blade. Are they any good for Sunday twisty fun and the occasional track day? I'm doing Donni road bike only next month.

    I'm no racer and a steady inters kinda guy :D

    You'll be fine with them mate.
    We had them on the GSXR at Cadwell last year. More than enough grip to have some fun.

    Cheers Col, ill stick em on. It's the weird tread pattern that put me off, they look more like wets :eek:

    I'm now a convert having used Pilot Power 2CT's for ages. No noticeable trade off with grip, wet weather performance is brilliant, longevity is reportedly good, although I've not had them on too long.

    Only negative from me so far is that they are a bit slower to turn in and require a bit more rider input, but I'll live with that for all the benefits...

    PR4 is a great all round tyre and more than capable for an Inters Track Day pace.

    Just fitted pair of PR4's for the Isle of Man. This is a picture of my chicken strips I took while waiting for ferry back. They stuck to the road like the proverbial. You won't be disappointed !
