Think I’m being ripped off When I go past any flashing speed sign that tells you what you are doing it’s always lower than the speed I am doing. Now the other day I went out with some one and his mileage read less than mine So it got me wondering if my Speedo is wrong I think I have clocked up 1500-2000 more miles than what I have done Is there anything you can do to rectify this?
I wouldn't worry about it bazza. Most speedos read a little higher than the actual speed youre doing. I've always found mine do.
It’s not that I’m worried about It’s the extra mileage it’s piling on And when I tell people I have done 200mph it’s wrong
Those things are notoriously inaccurate. I followed a car the other day through a 30 zone - otherwise called Suffolk - it showed 29 for the car and 37 for me. My dash registered 30 and I was holding the same distance from the car whole time. Seen it happen several times even when driving.
A 55 profile will make the speedo more accurate. Next time Bazza do over a 100mph and see if it will show a 3 figure number
If you're worried about it get a SpeedoHealer or similar. If they don't do one for your model change your sprockets to get a more accurate result. Or stop worrying and spend the money on beer/petrol/tyres/fritters, and be content that this affects all cars/bikes etc, and 30 miles extra on 1,000 miles isn't worth raising your blood pressure for
Not being funny Bazza but this is the most boring thread I've read in a long time!!! You need to get a life mate!!
Couldn't agree more Mark if only he'd have taken a leaf out of your book when boredom strikes instead of starting that thread
Erm the figures dont lie!! Longest and most replied to thread in the shortest amount of time ever!!! Iiiiiyyyyyyeeeee thankyooouuywww!!
Thats only down to @bladey with too much time on his hands sat in his motability scooter waiting for his local spoons to open
