Has a number call me 10 mins ago on my mobile. Answered it and it was a automated call. Have you been mis sold PPi clams NO F*** OFF. so I pressed no 5 and went to the call room to speak to a nice lady. Me: May I ask why I get these automated calls weekly from you? Her:yes sir, if you have been charged for not replaying a credit card.... Me: in 15 years of having a credit card I have never put anything on there I can't pay back each month, I have never had to repay anything other than what I have bought Her: Ahh ok sir then if you have missed a mortgage repayment and have been charged.... Me: I bought my first house and saved hard and paid it back in 7 years, never missed a repayment and thus never paid more than I had agreed Me:Now please don't call me again How can I send the number that came up on my mobile to someone/government body to stop me getting this fecking calls
TPS i've used TPS for work and home but not my mobile yet. it's supposed to stop cold calling But seems it's not working well from what I have read in the media
Don't make a lot of difference as most Call Centres are based outside the UK so they can legitimately ignore the UK TPS laws. Was all on Watchdog this week funnily enough!
I keep getting them tell me that their records show I'm owed £5800 so I ask them my name and they say "well I was just about to ask you these details" How the feck do you guarantee that your computer says I'm owed nearly 6k and you don't even know my name?!?!
On the radio yesterday was a chap who kept getting these calls. He got the name of the company and then sued about 4 of them £100 each and won for wasting his time, Apparently he has not had any further calls since. I love it when they phone about my personal injury. I play them at their own game and they get so confused when you mention general damages, special damages, care management package, you can hear "Click" bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr once they realise they are out if their depth. Not had any of them for a long time now.
Know a lad who strung them along for ages. Said he had loads of loans with PPI, of course they were interested. Then he asked if they did Personal Injuries claims and their interest went through the roof and they said that they did. He told them good as he had had to get the loans to pay for the helicopter he had crashed. They hung up at this stage
Not that is some good storys I think I may use if I keep getting them. re the ringing from outside the Uk they sounded 100% English but yes could be outside the UK. I think I may have some more fun next time if it keeps up.
