I'm sat at my desk, a little bored so I started looking through my mobile pics, I'm now eight months in to my new repsol I the feelings for my old blade still remain. In essence I wish I had stuck with the RR5 and not part ex'ed for a new bike! That's it really, just thought I would share that with you all
Proper looker isn't she? I always thought that model was best looking of the lot, haven't been able to part with my RR5 when I bought an RR8 so I've put it to good use on the track!
I was looking at a 2010 HRC as love that colour scheme etc but love my RR4 to much to part with it at the moment lol
So here's the question Who was the better ride, the current one or the ex? Best not reply to this near the wife!
I don't have an ex Martin, first and same one in 28 years. Back to the bike, it may have been the lesser financial risk in my head but the Repsol feels detached, I had more confidence in the 5.
Lovely bike by the way, I do love em in black. I miss my '92 Blade which is why I aint gonna part with the current one, nowt else interests me.
Thanks Carl, I had that bike well before the missus come along. Ahh those were the of days going for a blast without the need for bagging brownie points. Must admit I was ocd with it but what the hell plenty of time to polish it and it was a great bike in its time. 121bhp after a dynojet kit and a good old fashion Micron end can never felt so good.
Had myself the very same model, possibly the best bike I owned. Put 55,000 miles on it before I sold it and still got a good price for it.
Believe it or not and to this day I still can't believe I did but I chopped it in for this though I didn't have to put much towards it. My local dealer at the time had a buyer already lined up for it before trade in. I did see the Blade years later and spoke to the guy who had it. I think he lived in Yorkshire and was visiting family. I persuaded him to buy the original black end can off me as it was kicking around the garage. Shame to say the bike was well and truly used and abused.
