Watching the superbikes on TV has really given me some trackday blues, its gonna be a long ass winter! Had a mint first season on track and my riding has improved no end on and off track. I might have had some tumbles but I've learnt more in 1 crash than I could in 10 trackdays. Also made some fantastic friends this year, looking forward to catchin up with some of you at the NEC and meeting some more forum members. Thanks again guys for a mint year and here's to 2014!
Yeah cracking year firstly taking my 11 mile blade to a trackday and all year some good fun and falls on the r6 . Meeting some cracking people off here and most of all my first race practise qualifying grid start my wife and kids mom dad coming to watch no feeling like it especially my wife who normally wouldn't even watch my go pro video saying I was cheering so hard bloody hell lee didn't know you went that quick getting up to 2nd in my class I know it means nothing lying on the floor but I know I can do it and can't wait for 2014 !!!!!! ....................... I might get another TD in lol Look forward to seeing some of you NEC and on track or on a ride out top stuff
I have loved every minute of my biking this year whether on track or road i like to think i have made some good mates of here ,my trackdays really has give me a new lease of life as for the last 24 years i have been selfemployed all i have done is worked or thought about work. Its only in the last 18 months that i switch off from work on days off and thats when i do trackdays or road riding with not a thought about work which never was the case. Got the Jerez trip to look forward to and after watching WSB at Jerez its really got me excited to get there. As for next year trackdays looking to start back in February so only 2 months away think i can live with that , and then racing with no limits and hopefully a europe trip as well .Really want to do more different tracks next year as well as get back to cadwell where me and YT can finish unfinished business. So Hopefully see some new and old faces on track and road next year.
Not into racing round on track, prob cus im shit n dont wanna bin me girl, but glad to b back in the saddle after a 9 mth lay off from bikes. Man ive mssed the speed n throwing a bike into the corner n firing her out the other end, no feeling like it n as said above, its the only time i dint think about work, bills n all the other mundane thinfs in life. Def wanna do a Europe trip nxt yr on me own or with the Mrs or even sum of the lads of they r true to their word, get the feeling they gonna let me down but hey ho thats upto them riding the same roads every yr. N hopefully get sum ride outs n meet some of you guys off here, learning a great deal about my first Fireblade thanks to this forum
yep not been too bad a yr,only 1 little mishap, met a few good peeps off here, jerez in 4 weeks time and a new bike to tame whilst i'm there can see jase putting a few passes on me on the 1st day, hopefully not by the end of it though.....
How much is the whole trip incl extras costing? I'm not sure I'm going on holiday again so maybe a cheeky trip with the bike is in order
Be my first time on slicks(hopefully depending on weather)so looking forward to that, I booked myself in inters but have tried to move up but they were full so will try after the first day as would like to try and follow yourself and other faster lads around who have been there before. Will see how I get on as watching wsb and all the commentary they were all Raving on about how good it is at Jerez .
I guess it does add up......but the initial cost for four nights hotel with breakfast and four trackdays is £459.00 with them getting your bike and kit there and back Plus £50.00 compulsory track insurance (you must have this) £62.00 return flights from Birmingham to Alacante £30 to 40 split car hire costs (expected to be around 120 max) four of us travelling £45 for extra hotel night (unless you fly home last track day on the Sunday) £50ish fuel money for bikes ?? buying the fuel over there bit of beer money and food (all depends if your a alcoholic pig) or not !!
if last years trip was anything to go by only around 20 to 25 riders on track.......and by the sunday 15 or so as many went back before track time was up ! All I can say is make sure you do one of these.........they are top notch........and Steve Plater was the perfect bloke to run it.......Hodgson and Mackenzie were top guys too....full of stories of their time in top level racing..... plus they still make it look piss easy !
