mmmmmmmm indeed mate .. loving them bad boys !! Is this what you where secretly bidding on or is that still ongoing ?
Naa, still ongoing, however I may be a bit scuppered. My PayPal limit is up until its reset on the 16th, unless I go verified, which can take upto 9 days. I've emailed them, asking if they accept bank transfer or debit card, but they insist on PayPal... Even adding funds takes ages. I'll still bid, and if I do win, they'll have to wait until the 16th for payment.
No idea mate, I'll do it tomorrow. I think it's just a case of unscrewing the old one and putting the new one in...
Already got the bar ends, and I don't want the yoke nut. I may go for the chain adjusters though. Btw, did you transfer the rubber washer over from the oem filler cap?
Piece of piss, gently undo the old one take out the O Ring which for £2 might be worth u buying from Honda incase yours is at all perished, kerp bike on side stand so oil dont come out and then nip up the new one literally 30-60 second job gents!!!
All fitted. You don't need to put the bike on its side stand, the rear paddock stand is sufficient, as the oil is lower in the sump. The timing cover just unscrews, no rubber gasket or o ring or anything, it has a lip on it that goes around which seals the cover. All Looks great, and the case savers stick out a bit offering protection from the lower part of the fairing too incase of a drop. The timing cover just looks better than the oem one, and doesn't offer any protection. You need to swap over the oil filler o ring from the old filler cap to the new one.
Would you get these instead of crash bungs or as well as? I was wondering what to get bungs or case sliders.
Id have both personally .. Honda do scuff guards for the side fairings for those who don't want to go down the R&G route
I had these on mine and in my opinion offer only very minimal protection, i had no bungs on when mine slid and it done the gen cover in good and proper then ripped the fairing clean off, if i had bungs on i reckon the fairing would have survived, the scuff gaurds are a bit of an expensive gimmick but thats just my opinion, won't be putting them back on mine. But really like them Yoshi case sliders. :yes2:
