Not blaming the r6 my own mistake for crash she moved well handled lovely but I miss quickshifter really struggling without it and with a carb bike it's a bugger to get one on and working nicely . Waiting for rules to come out but gonna go for a new r6 or cbr600rr

I too struggle without a quickshifter, it was the one thing my bike didn't have when I got it, but it is on my winter project list.
With the new bike you are looking at, I would certainly recommend an R6, but the CBR600 is a slightly rarer beast in the paddock. I have asked people why this is and it appears that they are hugely expensive to get more power out of. Instead of the CBR, I would look at a ZX6R. Have a look at the grids not just at club level, but at national level and it will be Yamaha, Kawasaki and a few Triumphs. Personally, I would stick to an R6.

Cheers Wedgie, will do my best this weekend.
A mate of mine races a ZX6 and he had a pretty big crash on it this year, pretty much rebuilt it over night ready for racing the following day. I was surprised how much needed to be replaced on it, but I guess it is also down to how the bike lands and if it flips over. Certainly the R6 seems to be built like a tank, apart from the rear subframe, but I guess that is designed to shear off in certain circumstances. If you are looking at an R6, this would be a good bet:

this is nice too, but depends on your budget:

Having spent a year on the R6 (both the 2CO and 13S models) and my team mate has a 2CO model also, I think I know the ins and outs quite well now, so if you need any advice, just let me know.

We can wobble together then, but you'll have to go behind, I've seen enough of yours this past week ;)

Be great if you can make it you will love the track (if its dry) still good in the wet if you can be arsed to change wheels .

It will be like a retake of shaky in bsb with his crutches plenty of us there to help change wheels get on and of bike . :D

My problem is I need a new rear tyre so do I

1.use the one I have on and run it like a slick as I was getting a lot of movement from it on wed ,done about 6-7 track days on it .
    2.put a new slick on
3.put a new d212 on but then remove after 2 more track days at oulton as then I am in Jerez in November where I want to run new slicks for the 3 days .

    Decisions Decisions???

I will be missing 1 or 2 sessions due to me doing the Acu licence so i might just risk the one I have on unless the weather looks good then could be tempted on ??????? :D. Will wait and see.:D

I hope you have no problems with your bike this time it would be good to have a few sessions with you .

Weather looks sunny Tuesday according to met office which will mean its crap on Wednesday as that seems to be the case with my last few trackdays .

Well thanks to Jason & The Firebloke I was seduced last night whilst pissed up on red wine and won some spare wheels on Fleabay for my ZX10 complete with Slicks!

That's 3 sets of wheels now, oh and the captive wheel spacers rocked up to today! :D

Must find somewhere to hide em so the Wifey don't clock on!
