I want to swap my broadband away from BT as there are much better deals out there. Problem is that if I bin them it will significantly increase the cost of BT Sports. Looking at the numbers I would still be better off with the MotoGP app, problem is it doesn't show on my android TV when I go looking for itont I don't to cast from another device and so I was wondering if anyone has anyone managed to get the app working on their TV.
I use my tv for the videopass. I just go onto the browser and watch it on that. Or can you not use your phone to screenshare? That works for me also
Just use Kodi, get the MotorReplays repository and watch everything live in 4K. that's how I watch BSB, WSB, MotoGP and TT as well as V8 Supercars from Oz. It's free and if you can follow simple instructions (and have a good internet connection), you can set it up in about 4 minutes. I am not paying the insane prices MotoGP charges for their package and the networks here in the US have no interest in 2 wheel racing. Kodi is great for all things sport related. Plus, it's the only way I can watch proper football games here.
I'm seeing more and more of these 'IPTV' comments. Care to share a forum (Reddit?) where such info is readily available to read and digest?
https://bestforkodi.com/guide-install-motor-replays-kodi-addon-repo/ That should do it. If you have an Amazon Firestick or FireTV box, it is super simple. I have walked people through the install via PM several times. It's fairly simple.
As you can see, this one repository has about everything motorsport related."Real Road Racing" is TT and Irish Road Racing.
Thanks for the info. Really just wanted an app so guess I'll stay with BT until the end of the season and then look again.
I'm gonna guess that your TV is a Sony and doesn't have the App? If the App is available as an APK file then there will be a way to install it manually into the TV. Failing that, how about using a full web browser on the TV to watch via the web version?
Yes it's a Sony. Sideloading should be simple enough, as long as they haven't nobbled the app so it has built in. Don't really want to go via the browser route as text input in naff on the TV and I can't be arsed getting a Bluetooth keyboard/touchpad combo, too many gadgets and boxes in the lounge as it is.
I bet their mobile App has a keyboard that lets you type in your searches https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/video-tv-sideview
