I have just heard that BT sport are broadcasting MotoGP in 4 K. Is anybody watching in 4K and if so, what's the verdict?
Not bought 4k TV yet , will be interesting to see some comments on it, currently got a Panasonic 43 inch plasma 1080p tho . Refuse to chuck the 7 yr old away till it breaks ...............
4k looks ferking good, especially with the sort of screen sizes available these days, but I'd hope that there is a hand full of 4k channels if you are a BT subscriber as SKY will be launching a load on their new receiver this year and there are already the streaming services.
Have had a 4k tv for months now and the picture quality is amazing! It even upscales standard channels to HD quality, the definition in 4k is something else again, it up scales HD to about 2.5k quality win win on every front
didnt think ther was much transmitting in 4k , last time I went looking there was a stunning video of a balloon going over a canyon that looked stunning. When asking the salesman what can I watch at home in 4k, there was a long silence. Looks like it's the start of transmissions now
There's a very interesting article on 4k or UHD TV on the techradar site. Well worth reading before you dash out and buy a new telly. I'd post a link but I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to computers.
Just sounds like he didn't know. In short there is Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube 4k streaming built in to most (not all) 4k TV's. Plus Sky & BT to follow. Virgin Media seem to be a little slow to launch, but probably will run with it in 2016 or get left further behind. BBC are in testing, so will have to wait and see with them as they have a more pressing issue to work out how they're gonna get paid when the licence fee expires
