Just bought an MD80 (cheap spycam thing off ebay) for my upcoming day at cadwell so I can show pappa tyke what its like. Where do people normally mount camera's on the blade? Its about the size of a pack of chewing gum.

    Tankyooo!

you cant mount them on the tank or on your helmet at track days, other than that it is up to you .

I've seen some good footage with one taped on to the left or right Crash Bung.

Put it on your favoured cornering side and it looks great as the camera gets closer and closer to tarmac!

How bizarre, I have just bought 2 of these for my Silverstone track day!!

I have managed to tape one of them to the speedo rev counter using the crocodile type bracket bit a bit of tape round it and attached that to the smaller of the two ball joint brackets and it looks straight out through the screen.
It covers the speedo (which I always do on track days in any case) and keeps enough of the rev counter free to be useful.

The other one I have fitted to the rear tail tidy and cable tied it into place so that I have a front and rear facing camera for the day.

I have been and played out with the front camera fitted.

Considering I paid under a tenner for the camera the footage is more than acceptable.

There's a bit of vibration at certain revs but overall I am well impressed at how good it is compared to cost.

I will take a couple of pics of where I have them fitted and post up later

Sorry for the sideways picture.... but you get the idea!!

It will still record through the dark screen if it isn't too dark...

I tried in from inside my helmet with a dark visor fitted and the footage was still ok... Have a play and see!

If its got a wide enough lens mount it on the rear frame for an interesting view
So you see the corner but also see you changing gear or using the brake
Depending obviously on what side you put it.

side of front fairing heading back to see your side, clutch side is good. back of you where I put mine yesterday really any where you can get it but always try and get you or the bike in the camera as it's much better than having it floating in space when filming

    It say's it's expandable up to 8Gb?

If you can just shove a card in then why only 8, you can get 64Gb cards?

How much film time dya get per Gb then?

Not trying to get at you sine but,
Just because you can get 64gig cards now does not mean older devices can read/write or even comunicate with the newer cards.

Kinda like saying av got a DVD player but you can get blueray now so why can't it play those too! Technology moves on my friend and as such older stuff normally can't play well with the new! ;)

Hence the question as these are being sold as new items one has no way, (without research) in telling how old the design is.

So this is a 4-5 year old product then is it?
