    Anyone else suffer? :D

    I'm down to 40mpg ... bit of a pisser doing 125 miles to a tank when I'm averaging 300 miles a week!

    :(

Mine dropped a bit when I changed tyre profiles! As the speedo runs true now instead of being 3 - 4mph faster than it was

I've always judged I get at least 100 mile to the tank before I need to fill up this leaves me a little percentage in case I'm few mile from garage done this on all my super bikes suppose it's horses for courses but always served me well not an all week rider just sunny weekends so not to bothered massively about mpg

I don't mind for fast ride outs, track, etc... but for commuting I can see it being a PITA ... fuel station every two days lol :D

If you have a PC5 you can have 2 maps loaded and use a switch to go between them. You could use one for commute and the other for the weekends etc.

Except installing and removing the baffle on a Yoshimura R77 is a pain in ass as I found out yesterday!

The trick is to use a longer bolt mate.

That is a pisser mate, one very expensive map at petrol prices. Commuting I was getting 175-185 out of a tank on the 2010, even more on the 2014.

Before I touched it in standard form the bike was averaging 48-52mpg commuting ... Installed PC5 and down to 46mpg ... Had it custom mapped with standard exhaust and down to 44mpg ... Installed Yoshimura R77 and down to 42mpg ... Custom mapped and now averaging 40-41mpg ...

That's a motorway commute mainly with bit of traffic (filtering) ...

Runs like a dream now though lol.

The only reason I messed with it was due to crap fuel injection on the bike :(

    What did U expect?

Don't suppose a GP Bike is all that economical with it's performance Maps?

Maybe go back and ask for an economy Map instead!

Nerd alert here again folks, but the figure on the computer may not be 100% correct now.

Make a note of the miles you done and how many litres you put in, its 4.5454 litres to a gallon and work it out.

20% drop in economy sounds significant to me , way more than I'd expect.

Those figures are using my fuel app on phone not the bikes mpg computer which I've already picked up is rather optimistic ... Lol

But yeah fair comment ... I didn't buy the bike for economy ... Was just surprised how much it's been affected by mapping and exhaust ... Hence the discussion ;)

Not done on the blade yet but created a commutting map for my CB1Kr with a leo vince can and decat.

The custom map I had done was awesomely smooth the response excellent but like you the MPG suffered enough that I had to refuel every 2 days instead of 3. (maybe also has something to do with me staying in gear a bit longer just to hear that leo roar!!)

Have to add I did have the use of an AutoTune. Set the AFRs to around 13.6 - 13.8 in the cruise zone 20-40% TP and 4-6k rpm and very slighlty leaned out AFRs everywhere else (not below 10%TP though). Did the job returning to a pit stop every 3 days!

If I wanted a bit of fun had a switch to disable the AT so it went back to full beans!

You can do without a AT but its bum dyno stuff and too many assumptions and guess work, ideally better to get another map. It's not so much the expense of the fuel but the inconvenience having to refill so often.

    Two things.

    1. You never get a true gallon of fuel from a petrol pump, they are regulated and they check if the supply is within a window on which is near a gallon, but you never get over, if the pump does when checked it gets turned off.

    2. As Slick said for commuting you will only be using 20-40% tp and 4-6 rpm, so self trim the map back to 0 in them cruising area, then the Power Commander won't be adjusting the fuelling so should be back to pre-mapping fuel economy .
Then fit a switch, either a nice but expensive one from DJ like I've got which does mount nice or a Maplin one.

3..yes I know there wasn't going to be a 3, but look at the mapping and I guess there are high numbers which he added to get the fuelling perfect and try and not cruse in them.

    Just 2, well 3 ideas.o_O

I actually think the switch is a top idea ... Just looking at costs for Dynojet one.
