Just joined and a bunch of welcome and 'weird' comments coming through! :D

I put a deposit on a 2010 on saturday and never thought about insurance. I have BMW cover on my 2010 1200GSA and as they say "add another BMW for only £5 per £k", I didn't consider a second bike a big deal...haha

BMW (Devitt) won't insure another make on the same policy, OK can I go on the multi-policy through Devitt?.... certainly Sir........ oops no, underwriters won't cover your 2 bikes.... too expensive... take out 2 policies

Searching the web for multi-bike quotes I have come up with EBike £459,Bennetts £531,
    C/Nash £598.
Lost the will to live typing all the details in, no comparison sites seem to deal with 2+bikes.

Anyone used EBikes? Got any good suggestions to try?

P.S. if anyone can get the tune for GoCompare out of my head I'll gladly buy you a pint.

    yours sincerely

Tell me about it. I was all set for around £200, but all they do is add it to the existing policy. I was very pleasantly surprised. Needless to say the girlfriend had the change spent within 2 mins :)

I am now with Swinton after Carole Nash tried to Rob me. Try just insuring the bike stand alone i have heard that sometimes its cheaper that way (Seems odd but true)

H & R insurance do multibike policies and good prices as well.

Also remember if you are looking at 2 separate policies, like your current brokers advised you to, you can only use your accrued ncb on one of the policies.......their advice is very poor imo

I had a similar problem when I changed my rr5, I had to rebroker with Swinton cbr rr11 becomes the lead bike and GSXR k5 the second. cost me a total of 480 for the two. What annoyed me was the fact I only had four months to go to get another years no claims and had to start again.
I think I will try Carol Nash next time, they came back with a better offer after I had done the deal with Swinton again.
Bennetts I do not trust after there 3 mods scam back in November.

That's sort of what I was expecting, even if the premium was a lot more because it's a Blade. My BMW policy is £270 so didn't realise it would be more than double that for adding a second bike.
Devitt want £145 more for the BMW as my NCB will have to be used on the Blade and then £330 for the 1000RR using my NCB.

Thanks slowr1der lost the will to type all my details again tonight, will try H&R tomorrow. ( Devitt did say about the ncb and that I would lose it on the BMW as the Blade needed it more.)

interestingly I did a quote today for my blade - out of curiosity to see what price it is now. The 2 best companies were MCE at £428.41 paying by D/D but with a £1100 excess

However the next one was Bike Devil Insurance at £462.61 but no excess and interestingly the broker reference for each both begin with MCE suggesting its the same company anyway

    What is that about ?

Carole Nash for me. I have 3 bikes with them and one (the blade) is heavily modded and agreed value of £12k.
    the other is a gsxr 1000 k7
    the other is a gsxr 750 '99

Think its just about £1k all in. tbh im happy with that - expensive but i am a twat with a bad record...

    BTW - Bennets are F22k!ng tw@t sh1t kn0b heads - NEVER use them.

Well I finally went with Ebikes, declared all the mods and the 2 bikes came in at £422 comprehensive. No idea if it's a good or bad move and I hope I never have to find out. (Si I did ring H&R was 5th in queue with crap muzak LOL!)
