Good job I didn't hang on for the weather to change. Awoke to quite a heavy fog this morning. So as I wasn't planning on going out till around 09.30 I thought I'd let it develop.* Dogs walked, and it's now turning to drizzle, pisser certainly not what Gazman ordered! I bite the bullet throw the leathers on and get the bike out. It's seems to be brightening up a bit? Off to get the tyres checked. Did I mention I've blown my compressor up? Hey Hey it's Bats. Tyre pressures checked it's time to head off.* Quick fuel stop and away I go. A little different today, I'm cutting down on stops. I'm sorry, just means less pics.* Hartside Cafe. Basking in sunshine. I left the mist and fog behind on the Fylde Looking out towards Cumbria and the down route.* I guess the down side of such a lovely day is the bugs. OMG. I was eaten alive up there. Just managed to get my cup of tea town me and that's all I could manage.* Saving grace. I managed to swat a few.* Off towards the Shap now, leaving the bugs behind. Downwards from here. * It's my bike again.* * A road.* Arrive A6 Shap.* They did you know.*
Right onwards and err, downwards.* Cracking ride over. Next stop is Kendal for fuel, then I head towards Devils Bridge "Kirby Lonsdale" The gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. *Read em and weep you fenland dwelling types.* Sheep.* Arrive Devils Bridge. Basking in sunshine. I'm getting use to this now.* Wasn't just me out enjoying myself.* So that's the pics guys and girls.* I headed back to Blackpool. Would you believe it. Same as I left it. Covered in mist.* To sum it up 220 miles and*a cracking ride out, considering the company. Pushed boundaries a little further than usual.* No speed traps en route, one check point, which was only interested in trucks.* *I was a little sickened once or twice, but life goes on and all that I guess, but it is a national park area, wish people would slow down once they go over a grid. It's there for a reason. * * *
Great right up dude! Thanks for posting... Looks like you enjoyed your day better than mine stuck at work, and sometimes it's nice to go on a one man mission.
Great pics and and just a little jealous that you got out and i couldn't , absolutley love that part of the country simply stunning.
Like a nice ride out on me own, more and more so recently. Must be getting more miserable in my old age. Looking forward to my solo ride up to Liverpool on Saturday. Nice pics, might get out tomorrow my self then got my first oil change to do before the mayhem over the next couple of weeks.

I'm still catching up with these gems that I missed last week. Brilliant Gary. You're fast becoming our chronicler. "Let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of kings" "Yeah, in a minute Will, Gaz has got a yarn about the A6 first, geezer!" Bugs do like the white bike though. Leave mine on the drive for 20 minutes and it looks like a rice cake with raisins. Keep 'em coming dude. (I thought the bloke in the first picture looked like Karl Pilkington's hard brother)
