Finally got my bike back from it's service and mods carried out by BSD at Peterborough, of course it rained when I got there and rained most of the way back, great with new brakes.

Mods were as follows, I have posted pics in the pics section of 04 to 07 bikes.

Marchesini wheels, Brembo T Drive discs on front with Brembo RCS 19 18/20 M/c, HEL Brake Lines and Brembo M4 calipers and brake reservoir. Rear Brembo disc, Brembo pads, HEL brake line, DID Heavy Duty Gold chain, Renthal rear sprocket standard and front Renthal -1 and Gilles chain adjusters. GPr V4 steering damper and Rizoma race pegs. Plus a speedo healer.

The Marchesini wheels were supposed to come ready to fit, but unfortunately they didn't, the spacers had to be altered, not pleased really for the price and as they were advertised as a direct replacement with everything supplied. BUT...... I like the look of them and although only ridden in the wet, I can notice a difference already.

Brembo brakes, bedding in on the way home was fun on a wet and slippery salty and gritty road. Once I had done 40 miles they were fine and near home there was a dry stretch of road and I gave them a little test, 'awesome' is the best word to describe them and I can't wait to really try them out.

As for the rear, well I don't use the back much, most rides not at all, they need to bed in but the calipers and M/c are still stock so I do not think there will be much of an improvement.

-1 on the front sprocket seems about right for the way I ride. I did not want to lose too much top end but just wanted a little more aggression, again, I am looking forward to a dry road to to really test it out but pleased so far.

Chain adjusters, well not used them yet but they look smart and suit my 'black look' for the bike.

GPR V4 , after having a few moments when pushing the Blade on rubbish roads I decided I needed a different damper and to ditch the HESD. I found the HESD OK 95 % of the time, but as the bike is pushing out 168 bhp and 83 Torque it just didn't inspire confidence and shook it's head a little too much for my nerves.
BSD could not get a resistor to work top stop the red light showing a HESD fault so in the end I agreed to killing the HESD unit and wiring up the sensor and plonking it under the front of the tank. I have contacted the GPR supplier to ask for some advice on what resistor size might work. There is a gap left between the GPR and the tank, which is very exposed. For the time being I have cut and wedged some carbon to weather proof it. As for a long term solution, well that depends if I can get a resistor that works, but the gap will require some sort of cover.

Speedo healer seems to work Ok but will double check it with my sat nav. It does have a horrible little button that records your top speed, glad it is under the seat, must remember to reset it, if it can be reset.

The foot peg that came with the Rizoma rearsets was Ok but did not feel right to me, just a personal thing, so I had it replaced with a race spec rizoma one. It feels much beefier or should I say horsier and it feels just right, so I am pleased with that.

If she finds out how much I have spent on this bike my death will be slow and painful........but I shall die a happy man.

No more mods this year, but...... I do have a pretty pair of black showa anodised front fork outers to have fitted next year when I get some Bitubo cartridges fitted, which will be my last big expense. Oh and I need to get a Brembo Clutch M/c cos my levers don't match now.

Yep I can see it, thanks a lot mate I appreciate it, will get mine out after work and look for the holes. Then I will have to find out what size bolts I will need but it will be a lot better than how it is atm. Once again thanks Wedgie.
