Tomorrow I'm going home to see my wife for the first time in 3 weeks as I'm working up north.

Good news is that this involves a 235 mile road trip from Blackpool to Warrington and the A49 all the way to Hereford before cutting off to Oxford. I think Brunch will be at Midway truck stop in Whitchurch as I've never stopped there before and hopefully I'll meet some mates in Hereford before shooting home. Temperature is forecast to be in the double figures so should be a nice (bracing) ride home.

Bad news is that the bike will be getting left at home and i'm picking up my cheep £500 automatic motorway munching mondeo as I really need the car for winter, this means I'm unlikely to see much of my bike unless I'm back down south and no 'it's nice this evening, i'll go for a blast' moments.

    Crazy enough for that !

I have a great true story about the Hereford boys.

My old man, bless his departed cotton socks, had a mate who was in 2 Para during the war, he was seconded to the SAS and despite fighting till his almost last breath got captured and interned in a POW camp, he broke out twice but neither time made it. After the war he started gun running and mercenary work in Angola and other African countries before returning to the UK marrying and settling back into “normal” life in Sutton Coldfield. He worked for my old man for many years before sadly meeting his end by tripping and falling on his garden rubbish fire in his back garden. I knew the man well and other then my old dad he was the one of the most honorable and respected people in my early life.

Don’t believe me. PM me and I will give you his name, check it out.

Did over 280 miles today down some fantastic roads, a lot of them seemed to be wet so I must have been chasing the rain.

After two weeks without any serious riding my wrists are in more pain than I've ever had before :(.
