My workshop is very small coz there's a Midnight Star, a fridge, freezer and dryer at the front. At the back is a 6 x 2 workbench, small TIG set with Argon cylinder, 4" vice, a bandsaw, a 14" cut off grinder for cutting exhaust tube, a pillar drill, loadsa stainless and ally round , flat and square bar and the rest is shelves . Gonna have a clearout to make some space.
Anyway, in the meantime , a guy from 12 miles away is selling up and moving to Spain. He has built 5 trikes and has a lot of useful gear. So I headed down there on New Years day, had a look at a little Boxford lathe and the rest of the contents of his workshop and garage. "How much of it do ya want?" says he. "EVERYTHING" says I.
Getting the lathe in was fun. I reversed the trailer into the front of the garage.
Lifted it off with the 2 tonne engine lift and laid it on some MDF on the floor
    [IMG]
Hitched the trailer back up, picked up the lathe stand. Fabricated , so not too heavy. Reversed trailer into garage again and then with stand still on a 6 wheel dolly, me n the mrs rolled it onto the floor and positioned it next to the wall and bench.
Picked up lathe again with engine crane, wheeled it alongside stand.Had to move stand a bit to get crane into position and then lowered lathe onto stand. Strapped lathe onto stand and picked it all up so I could get it in exactly the right position. It's still there.

I gotta mark and drill Rawlbolt holes and shim stand to get coolant to drain into back left corner, then fit levelling bolts to lathe , then rebuild lathe pulleys and motor and connect electrics.

It will take a while to tidy up the mess I made when we had to push the workbench 2ft into the corner to make room for the lathe. All the shelves fell off and emptied onto the floor.
Will take before and after pix tomorrow and eventually a nearly tidy workshop!

Get on the blower to Performance Bikes! I want to see your workshop featured in that 360 view feature they do every month. A good example of efficient use of space etc.

Well I haven't done much in my "New Workshop" since the wife left me last April. Finally getting my shit together now and have bought a new, cheapo garage , as there's no room to work in the other one.
Received my new garage on Wednesday. All on one pallet. Haven't had much time to build it, but did a few hours today.

There was no floor with it, so I prepared some 2 by 4s, screwed em to the concrete pad and fixed the panels onto them. Have bought some used 8 x 4 hardwood plywood panels for the floor.
Got this done today in a few hours.

Yep, the roof is tongue and groove , just like the side panels. It,s a bit basic, so I will beef it up a bit. The joists are in two halves too!!!
