I have reluctantly decided to sell on my RRN (but registered in 93) first gen fireblade. I will be doing a full add in the next few days.
lovely and classy, timeless. Can't see you having any issues with this sale (depending on price of course )
Thanks lads! I will post a link to the add when I get to place it. She is a great bike & I know every nut & bolt; its hard not to get attached to a cool bit of sport bike history.
I know. But I need the space & cash for a new bike; got to move forward & all that. She is a beaut to ride; nothing like the monster the press wrote about 20 years ago. She wasn't so good looking when I found her. It's took 2-years to get to this stage & there are still a few areas for improvement. I have enjoyed the project & it been really cool having both the first & most recent Blades in the garage at the same time.
This is my ad if anyone is interested; although I don't expect a quick sale. These bikes are generally bought by collectors now so I guess I have to wait for one to come along. 1993 HONDA CBR900RRP | eBay
I'm one of the "watchers" I'm currently looking for a 2nd bike and tbh I'm Sooooooo tempted, but then I'd have two bikes I don't want to ride in poor weather. Good luck with the sale mate
Haha, I know what you mean. This old girl is not for riding; just cleaning, fettling & talking about. Then, on a perfect day, once each year, you take her out & laugh your head off! WTF am I doing..........
I made a mistake with the original ad; this bike is a 92 model RRN (1st generation, 1st year). It wasn't registerred till 93 however.
One of the biggest regrets of my life selling my March '92 registered RRN after 11 years of ownership DON'T SELL IT!
Well it looks like I will be keeping the old girl for a while at least. I have had an ebay add running for a while; lots of silly offers & one reasonable but not sure how genuine. She stands me at a few ££ so would rather keep her than accept too little.
