I've come to the conclusion (since my first track day on Tuesday) that I'm not going to spend money on making the bike 'look pretty', all my mods will now be performance related. Therefore my fairing will now remain looking tatty and not get resprayed this winter as previously planned, instead I will invest in a power commander & fork internals.
Performance is pretty! Cnc, Ti and all that just love it, if it's not saving weight, gaining power, improving handling then don't bother!
i just bought a PC for my bike...not had my first track day yet.. What are the suspension options? are they costly? is this a noticeable gain for road use..or just track? I have been collecting Repsol track fairing for my bike... i picked up a near perfect Repsol rear cowl for £15, and a near perfect right lower panel for £20 from ebay! .
suspension/brakes/tyres/on bike training these 4 things are where your money should go,then worry about trying to get more power, exhausts etc.
I've just purchased some EBC HH pads that I'll fit tomorrow, I changed the fluid last weekend, the power commander is next as the bike has a K&N and full Arrow system already and I won't have to take it off the road for long to fit it. I set up my suspension last week with a mate who really knows what he's doing and it made a noticeable difference, I'll be upgrading the internals this winter and if my budget stretches far enough I'll upgrade the rear suspension. I always fit good tyres and i'm happy with the 2CT Power Pures which are more than capable of anything i can throw at them, only had one overly twitchy moment in the wet at Oulton earlier this week as I was on the throttle out of the 2nd chicane (apparently it looked pretty impressive, according to the guy on the Gixer 1000 i'd just overtaken).
Brake lines and suspension are next on my list mate. I'll probably get this done during the winter. I'm looking at either using MCT or KTec for the suspension work.
I've already got good ridge hoses fitted, I keep hearing good things about k-tech so i'm 90% certain thats where I'll go for my suspension.
You can't go much wrong with K-Tech mate. Every review I've read has been good about their stuff. I think you'd defo need to do the rear as soon as possible though to suit the front setup.
