Picked her up today. Felt a bit alien being on a bike after 20 months off. Still feel a bit scared of tipping in to the left as that's the side i crashed on. Hopefully it will fade
Makes me really want a Pepsi ! That blade will look after you and let you do what ever you want with her... Have faith buddy !!
Coming from somebody who crashed 3 times in their first two years of riding none of which were my fault I feel your pain mate just don't let the fear in buddy and I promise it will get better. I actually went on track when my gremlins were bothering me and have to say it got rid of them all the adrenaline rush you get from track conquers it and suddenly when you realise you are capable of cornering at speed it makes for better riding all round. Great choice of HRC colours but then my old blade was the same colour hehe. Enjoy the bike mate you've just bought yourself the most forgiving of all the litre bikes and I would know I have ridden them all lol.
Just take it easy, don't let people bait you into a race, learn how the bike handles and rides and move at a speed your comfortable with, Honda make some excellent machines and that one you have is a good looking bike.
To be honest I'd stick with the Blade and as for grunt, well Sunday I was at RAF Valley doing a track day there and have a right battle with a Ducati Panigale 1199 once things had dried out a bit. After session I'd pissed off to the bogs and the guy on the Panigale came over for a chat. He ask my brother what engine mods/tuning had been done to the engine as I kept leaving powering out the bends and onto the long straight, The Engine Is Standard my bro told him and he just couldn't believe it. So there you go decision time I guess, however if your putting PC5 on it can be mapped for the mid range power of the SP, grins all round. PS :- Plus we'd have to ban you to the "Other Bike" section
