Hi this is my first post on the site. I have traded my RSV 4 in for a 2011 HRC Blade which I will be picking up next week. The RSV had an after market exhaust fitted which I purchased from SC Projects in Italy fantastic product but they do not supply a road version. I have trawled the internet and found a product I liked from GPR and decided to contact them for more information. The guy I spoke too was good gave me a good overview but said that when the new can is fitted the injection warning light may comes on this can be rectified really easily without an electrical or mechanical fix 1- Is it an easy fix?
I believe it is all to do with the flapper mod, do a search on this forum. A small plastic wheel when under the mudguard that controls the valve in the exhaust for emission/noise testing, by a cable. If you ditch the exhaust you simply have to take the cable off also and ensure the wheel is set in its original position or it will throw a caution light. I think that's right??? others will say so though.
Yes. It the flapper servo that needs to be re-positioned hen you take the flapper wire off. 5 minute job.
I think all g.p.r cans have a whole for the o2 sensor but its worth double checking because if it doesnt you will need to fit an o2 eliminator(about £20) Which g.p.r can is it you are thinking of getting mate
Hi thanks so much for your help just bought a new tail tidy for the dealership to fit before i take delivery ( cheers Ecosse)Can't wait took it for a test ride to see if i liked it totally different ride from the rsv you sit in it rather than on it if you get my drift. Thanks for all your help looking forward to becoming a regular on the forum. GPR are offering their carbon can for 279 and suggested Austin Racing for the fairing i infill. I suppose the last thing to check is whether its going to be compatible with the abs. Thanks again really appreciated
You will need on of these if tbe light comes on. eBay item 261001056150 Although te GPR website says it has the hole for the O2 sensor. You will defiantly need the infill to finish the fit off. Good look can the GPR
Hi, congrats on the new bike and hope you enjoy it (you will they are awesome) i went the other way to you and went from a blade to a V4, was just looking at the SC Projects exhaust you said about, are they silly loud like the AR cans ??
Hi They have a nice tone. With the baffle/db restrictor in it just passed its first mot. When its out its completely open in track mode it makes you smile from ear to ear. I didn't need to remap or install a power commader. I left mine out of the sale so plan to stick it on ebay for 200. Gotta say though the Austin Racing can sounds sweet!!!!
