I just took possession of my first Fireblade. A 2010 HRC coloured beauty, 40128 miles on the clock and totally mint. Looks like new. She's now sat in the garage next to the Monster, looking very shiny. I'll post pictures when the rain goes away and the sun comes out, it's amazingly dark and shitty here today. So here's some from the dealers site. Can't wait to get out and play. honda221214_zpsa77a3f51.jpg Photo by 1meridian | Photobucket P1010033_zps8174b80a.jpg Photo by 1meridian | Photobucket P1010032_zpscf6fb829.jpg Photo by 1meridian | Photobucket
Just went for my first real ride, only 30 minutes but I was only supposed to be out for 5 to get fuel. Holy shit. This thing is quick! And even on greasy wet roads it handles, it's planted. Power delivery is totally linear. I've never felt so comfortable on a bike so quickly before. Tomorrow I have a few hours to go play and get some pictures. Then a quick hose down and dry before back to work. Can't wait for next weekend I'm going to have to be on top of the speed though, it goes through 30 to 120 in what seems like no time at all. The cameras are going to be flashing a lot I fear. Filtering through London traffic will be easy, just use the clutch without throttle to poodle along. Can eat crisps with the spare hand.
Glad you are enjoying your new steed .Perhaps in summer and out of London you will be able to fully explore what the bike has to offer.
Don't worry I'm working on that already. Pinion pegs need to go too. DSCF1117.jpg by andrewlarking, on Flickr DSCF1120.jpg by andrewlarking, on Flickr
Really hope you right mate, cos if you are, then you will have a unique 2010 Blade, the low speed shunting is PITA when filtering into town at low speeds. That wasn't fixed until the 2012 engine.
So far it's very smooth at low speed. Can poodle around easily on it. Let's see how it copes tomorrow.
Hope it's good mate, but it's when you are in 1st/2nd on a light throttle, particularly when you are in that frieight train of slow bikes, they start to shunt, it's a real pain. What's your route? Up through the Blackwall?
