I have been looking at new bikes today!
I have to decide which way to go.
I am going to change mine whatever happens.
I could trade mine in for a new blade. Been looking at a black/white one today - very nice. £9975.
Or....do i wait and look at the 2012 blade?
I could also sell mine and replace with a 2010 or later blade......what to do?

    Yeah, mine is 2010.
I am definately changing as i want to lose the ABS system. I have no confidence in it.
I really dont mind if i get the current shape or the 2012.

I am rather hoping a new 2011 is going to come up cheap.

Ah i see .. Do you ride much over the winter ? If not then you have the winter to find a deal . However the best deals are going to be over the winter . As soon as we get the weather back then prices are going to go up again for the weekend warrior season .

2012 are roughly the same price as the 2011's aren't they ?

I aint seen one yet to see what they are asking for them . The biggest question for you is who will give you the best trade in price

I dont ride much in the winter.
I have seen 2012 selling for £11300, so about the same price I guess.

I'd personally sell yours now if you can get a decent price then wait till the 2012 come out and decide then! You'll have the cash to entice a decent deal, won't have to worry about trade in so you'll be in a much more flexible position...

Can snap up a bargain 2011 or get the 2012 which will hold it's money...

Either way you'll have the ready's and cash is king my friend!

Bikes are being given away at the moment their are some deals to be had I watch bikes all the time on the pit, if I had a spare £5k now I'd buy a couple of bikes n hold on to them till start of summer.

    I wouldn't pay a penny over 9900 for a non abs 2011 blade I recon post Christmas you'll pick a brand spanker up for £9000 on 0%.

People can't afford bikes it's winter two shite summers on the bounce, times are hard!!!

To be fair I don't see the 2010 blades losing much money just based on the new model.

Not enough of a Tech upgrade and for me it's hardly worth it unless the new suspension is miles ahead.... And I mean. Miles.

Current blade handles amazingly well from stock, unless your an avid track day chap then I just don't see the benefits on the new model IMO

I mean how many blade owners from the new crop do you see uprating to ohlins , Ktech or Bitubo etc? Not many I can assure you unless your fast group track dayers OR club racing.

Ducati's for example DO settle and hold tighter lines with the fork upgrades from what I gather, my 848 was always a touch shy of the apex and you had to muscle it in at times, But the blade? Nah, it's fine for most you'll throw at it.

My mates just got confirmation of his new 2012 blade BUT he's still keeping his 2008 mainly cos he's minted but also because he simply says there's nothing wrong with it and he's never had anything better on track.

I'm not sure I'd bother at all if your going for a blade, can't the abs be removed? Don't get me wrong, I'd have the new blade but I'm not sucked in by it.

If I sell the RC I'd probably look at the panigale or something totally different like a mental naked for hooning around on.

If it were me I'd buy a new 2011 bike probably the best part of 2.5k cheaper.

From what I seen I prefer the current shape by a country mile just IMO

    Thats favorite at the moment.
Pidcocks Honda aren't doing me any favors with the trade in price on mine or the price of the new bike.
Maybe i can get a deal at the NEC?
